Rule 80
Arrangements of Committees
: In the case of an armed police officer's death or incapacitated under the conditions of rule 75 or 76, the following committees shall be established to make recommendations regarding the pension or gratuity to be received by the family members or descendants of such armed police officer:-
(a) In case of gazetted armed police personnel:-
(1) Representative, Ministry – Chairman (2) Representative, Ministry of Finance – Member (3) Representative, Head Office – Member (4) Physician Representative, Nepal APF Hospital – Member (b)   In case of gazetted and unranked armed personnel working in Kathmandu Valley:-
(1) Chief District Officer of Kathmandu District – Chairman (2) Representative, Madhyamanchal Regional Fund Directorate – Member (3) Representative, Head Office – Member (4) Physician Representative, Nepal APF Hospital – Member (c) In case of gazetted and unranked armed police personnel working outside Kathmandu Valley:-
(1) Prem of the district concernedUkh District Officer – Chairman
(2) Representative of the Treasury and Accounts Office of the concerned district – Member (3) Chief of the concerned armed police personnel or his designated representative – Member (4) Hospital or health representative of the concerned district – Member Explanation: The basis for determining the percentage of disability for the purpose of this rule shall be as follows:-
(a)   “Eighty to seventy percent disability” means absence of both eyes or absence of both legs or absence of both hands or absence of one leg and one arm or immobility of the whole body,
(b) “sixty to eighty-nine per cent disability” means being unable to work, partially immobilized or without one eye or without one arm or without one leg,
(c) "Forty to ninety percent disability" means a person who is unusually slurred of speech or appears to be fit throughout the body but who stammers, walks unsteadily, or physically, speech, walk, or walk unfit to work in the armed police service,
(d) The right to determine the percentage of disability other than the classification mentioned in clauses (a), (b) and (c) shall be in the Board of Physicians constituted by the Government of Nepal.
